Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies (CRCS) is well known as a High Quality Graduate Program in Religious Studies at UGM that has attracted strong support from Gadjah Mada University, the educational and religious communities
of Yogyakarta, the Indonesian government and the
international communities. It is established in 2001. Every year CRCS send some
of the best students to Foreign University as exchange students. The Program is
conducted in English.
The Indonesian
Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS-Yogya) is an International Ph. D Program
in Inter-Religious Studies that just establish in October 2006. It is a
consortium of three well-know university in Yogyakarta: Gajdah Mada University (UGM), State
Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga and Duta Wacana Christian University
(UKDW). The primary strength of the program is the study of Indonesian
Religion, especially Islam. ICRS-Yogya also has strong resources for the study
of Christianity and can facilitate research on Balinese Hinduism, Indonesian
Buddhism, etc. The Program is conducted in English and includes one semester at
a leading foreign university.
Recently, CRCS and
ICRS-Yogya has been chosen as a Center of Excellence in Religious Studies at UGM by the Indonesian
Higher Education Department (DIKTI).
The
following scholarship is now available:
9 Full Scholarship for Ph. D Program in
a foreign country, under the Presidential Scholars Fund (PSF)Scholarship for Master Program at CRCS
UGMScholarship for Ph. D Program at
ICRS-Yogya, including a semester of a Sandwich
in a Leading Foreign UniversityPresident ial Scholars Fund
(PSF)
We seek 9 Candidates
to get the opportunity of Full Scholarship to study Doctoral Program in a
Foreign Country.
